The time has come for me to get serious about getting a digital SLR. I currently use a point-n-shoot that we bought 6 years ago and which I have used daily since. But I can't do without a nice lens and the ability to adjust the f-stop and focus manually.
If you have any tips about Digital SLR's, good deals, used equipment, or just which one you use yourself, please leave a comment - I would love to hear from you!

no nonsense info from a common SLR user. http://thepioneerwoman.com/photography/2007/03/pioneer-womans-equipment/
Hey Amy, You should seriously check out canon G10. Its a point and shoot but its amazing your can shoot RAW and shoot completely manual! I have 3 DSLRS and of course I love them but this camera rocks! It shoots really wide and it has a million add ons - underwater housing etc.
thanks for both of those comments - really helpful!
sarah, that canon looks pretty awesome actually. I would love to get that to replace my point n shoot and bridge the time until I can get a full set-up.
