I just renewed my McSweeneys subscription, and i am very excited. For those of you unfamiliar with McSweeneys, it is an independent publishing house that puts out amazingly creative books, journals, and films on a quarterly basis. They way they bind the books (or the lack of binding) is half the reason I choose to subscribe. The collection of writing is one thing, but the presentation is the deal maker. Times are tough, but a good book will be a welcome respite when i can no longer afford to leave the house anyway. Plus, it gives me something to search the mail for every few months, and it's always a surprise!
