new pillow in my etsy shop!

Today is my day off, so I am updating the shop and trying to get my sewing machine fixed so I can get to work on 2 new custom pillow orders! If you would like to make a special request for pillows in certain sizes or colors, email me at amy.soczka@gmail.com.

I had the distinct pleasure of meeting Meredith last month when she and Betsy Walton were in town for their excellent show at Hotcakes.

I just came across these images on Flickr this morning, and of course all three have been sold already on Meredith's etsy shop.

I think one reason I am drawn to her work is partly due to my obsession with Labrynth and The Dark Crystal as a kid. and as an adult. This is not to say that her figures resemble Gelflings, but it is perhaps a wish to see these guys in action*. For now, I will settle for browsing her website and daydreaming.

things that made my day, today, for real

!!!! holy wow am i excited. My latest pillow is on Etsy's front page today as a Hand Picked Item!
Over 1,000 people have looked at it! I will add the new one tomorrow.
Also, I just now received my shipment from Purl, and the excitement in me is just brimming over and i am running in circles. man, I love spring.

edit:: aw, my pillow is already off of the front page. well, it was fun while it lasted!
